OUR TEAM
Building brighter futures for neurodiverse learners.
We are fierce advocates for neurodiverse learners—challenging outdated systems and creating spaces where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. Our programs foster confidence, celebrate difference, and use proven methods to unlock each child’s potential.
Our expert team delivers NDIS-approved, evidence-based intervention, with certifications in nationally and internationally recognised programs, including Orton-Gillingham and other multisensory approaches.
We support individuals with dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, auditory processing disorder, and more—providing tailored strategies that build on strengths and support meaningful progress. Our team also holds Australian autism certifications, reflecting our commitment to leading practice in neurodiverse education.

OUR TEAM
Meet our executive team.
Meet the Millers! Our executive team is led by four of the six members of the Miller family, each bringing their own expertise, leadership, and long-term commitment to the business. Together, they uphold the values and vision that have shaped the company since its inception.
Phoebe
MADAM CHAIR

Phoebe, the newest team member at DyslexAbility, has stepped into her role as Madam Chair and Head of Welcomes with the determination and charm only a bulldog can pull off. With her sturdy build, soft wrinkles, and signature bulldog wiggle, she greets students at the door with a friendly nuzzle and approving snort before trotting through classrooms, making sure everything runs smoothly with her playful yet watchful presence.
Frankie
CHAIRMAN OF
THE BOARD

Frankie the bulldog is the self-appointed chairman of the board at DylsexAbility. Every morning, he plants himself at the door, ready to greet students with his cheeky, slobbery welcome that makes them feel right at home. With his solid, stocky build, distinctive wrinkles, and that signature bulldog snort, he then makes his rounds through the corridors and classrooms, setting the tone for a day brimming with fun and learning.
Tom Miller

Tom holds certifications in Orton-Gillingham and Sounds-Write and is pursuing a Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (CCET) from Cambridge University. As Co-Director of DyslexAbility, he remains dedicated to advancing neurodiverse education and empowering students with tailored learning support.

Courtney
Steenholdt
MANAGER &
LEAD PRACTITIONER

Courtney’s love for language led to a long career in media and marketing, but her journey took a new turn when her youngest child was diagnosed with verbal dyspraxia. Witnessing firsthand the power of structured, evidence-based intervention, she became deeply committed to supporting children with literacy challenges. After years of intensive study—including training in the Barton Reading & Spelling System and Orton-Gillingham methods—she now dedicates her expertise to empowering young learners. For Courtney, nothing is more rewarding than seeing children build confidence and skills that shape their future.
Kathy
Armand
LEAD PRACTITIONER

Kathy is an educator, literacy specialist, and lifelong learner whose greatest joy is helping children discover their strengths. Every breakthrough—whether it’s mastering a new concept or reading with confidence—reinforces her belief in the life-changing power of education. As a lead practitioner at DyslexAbility, she drives a team of dedicated literacy professionals who go beyond academics, shaping both the confidence and capabilities of every student. Under her guidance, the team creates an environment where children feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed—because with the right foundation, there are no limits to what they can achieve.
Matthew
Xanthopoulos
BUSINESS MANAGER

For Matthew, working at DyslexAbility isn’t just a job—it’s a front-row seat to some of the most inspiring transformations. Seeing kids take on challenges with grit and determination, growing in confidence and ability, is what drives him every day. Their success stories, big and small, are proof of what’s possible with the right support. He’s passionate about creating an environment where every learner feels empowered, celebrated, and equipped to reach their full potential.
Anita
Karnakowski
LEAD PRACTITIONER

Anita has spent over two decades helping young minds find confidence in learning, particularly in mathematics. Holding degrees in both education and applied science, she specialises in making maths engaging for neurodiverse learners. As a lead practitioner at DyslexAbility, she plays a key role in shaping the way students develop essential numeracy skills. As a certified Math-U-See educator, she helps children build strong foundational skills while fostering a love for problem-solving. For Anita, maths isn’t just about numbers—it’s about opening doors to self-belief, independence, and lifelong learning.
