Calling All Allied Health!

DyslexAbility, is a therapeutic learning centre located in the southeast of Melbourne. We specialise in working with students who are neurodiverse and have dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, autism, ADHD and/or literacy and maths challenges. Our staff are highly trained practitioners providing one-on-one hourly sessions using explicit, systematic, and synthetic phonics and programs through a multi-sensory approach.

As our Centre continues to grow exponentially, we are actively seeking Allied Health Professionals to further support our team and clients. We have spaces and rooms available for these professionals to work from through contracting arrangements. Specifically, we are looking for Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Speech Therapists who share our passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals and addressing challenges such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, autism, ADHD, and literacy and math difficulties. Candidates must possess the following qualities:

• A passion for working with a variety of neurodiverse students and a love of continued learning

• A high level of patience, understanding and empathy.

• Ability to communicate and interact with students in a warm, professional, and effective manner.

• Strong self-management skills and ability to handle autonomy with confidence.

• Ability to be flexible.

• Be self-reliant with technology, operating laptops, iPads and associated programs and applications.

• Be a team player and a willingness to cross refer and support DyslexAbility clients

• Have a sense of humour.

• An excitement and ability to think outside the box and a willingness to share their passion for learning and education.

• Communicate and interact with students, colleagues, and managers in a professional, positive manner.
